Zena Holloway

An ultimate and boundless creativity. An arduous passion. These may be the most suitable words describing underwater photography. You need more light, more equipment, more concentration and ofcourse more breath. It sounds like a kind of torture to me but as to Zena Holloway it’s a lifestyle.
Zena was born in 1973 as a daughter of an airline pilot. After an Egyptian diving holiday at the age of 18, she was charmed by the magic of the underwater world. Improving her skills after thousands of diving, she got her first job in 1997 with a commission from Faberge. She has completed lots of commercial works and won lots of photography and directors awards. Yes, you didn’t read it wrong. She is also a director too. Zena uses a pair of Canon EOS-1Ds Mark IIs for her shots and doesn’t like postprocessing her photos.

Zena Holloway has been working as an underwater photographer in London since 1995. Currently she is living in West London with her partner and their two young daughters, Brooke and Willow.

You can take a look at her superb portfolio in www.zenaholloway.com . In her web site you can see her photography works and short films. You can also buy some prints of Zena’s limited edition works with each print personally numbered and signed by Zena Holloway.
