Canon has started a new rebate campaign for EOS DSLR cameras, lenses and accessories, where you can get instant rebates without having to fill and mail forms afterwards and wait for your check to arrive. With the help of these rebates, Canon 40D in my opinion becomes the most competitive DSLR price wise after the $200 instant rebate, with a price tag of only $939 (body only). And the most affordable FF DSLR Canon 5D price comes just under $1900 level with the $300 instant rebate, and it becomes even more attractive considering how small the price difference between APS-C Nikon D300 ($1700 street price).
