    Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS
    Sunday, 06 September 2009

Sigma introduced a new image stabilized telephoto zoom lens: 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS. Featuring Sigma’s original OS (Optical Stabilizer system), the 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS offers the use of shutter speeds approximately 4 stops slower than would otherwise be possible. The Sigma 70-300mm’s has a minimum focusing distance of 150cm throughout the zoom range. Unfortunately this new version with OS doesn't feature the macro mode that the existing versions have that were offering a 1:2 magnification ratio, was quite handy in many conditions I have to say. The Sigma 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG OS will cost £399 and be available in late September for Sigma, Canon, Nikon, Pentax, and Sony cameras.
